This question drives my work as an executive coach, conversation conductor and leader. Encouraging and challenging others to be the very best they can be is both my talent and my lifework. Throughout my career, I have championed my clients as they find their voice and remove barriers that limit success.
I have been coaching in one form or another for most of my 30-year career in organizational learning and leadership development: as an executive coach for senior leaders, a mentor for managers in training, or as a volunteer coach with a not-for-profit organization.
I find it deeply meaningful to lead individuals and groups in transformational conversations – in which people feel safe to be vulnerable, look head-on at their current reality, and own their piece of the solution.
As groups and teams grapple with a challenge, my starting point is that everyone deserves the opportunity to be heard. It’s so rewarding when people see things with renewed optimism, get excited to contribute, and explore fresh ways of relating.
As a coach, I find great joy in using questions to shift people’s thinking on what is possible and create a way forward that is bold and inspiring. I believe it is vital for people to connect with their unique strengths. I hold people capable as they identify, appreciate and apply their strengths to improve productivity, increase engagement and enhance their communication with others.
An intuitive listener, I bring an innate curiosity about the “whole person.” I give my undivided attention and hear and feel things that are said – and unsaid. I love to introduce curiosity and a spark of hope into a heavy conversation.
I have coached high potential leaders in some respected organizations such as NASA, The Department of the Air Force, The Department of the Navy, Deutche Bank, Lego, Chevron and more. I continue to be inspired by leaders who want to make a difference – for themselves and others.
